Independent Material Testing
Synerponics floss holders are tested by TÜV Rheinland, an accredited third-party laboratory, against the standards applied to food-contact materials and to metal worn against skin.
| Test | Standard | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Metal migration, food/mouth contact | EC 1935/2004 | Not detected — all 24 elements |
| Nickel release | EN 1811:2023 / EN 12472:2020 | Not detected (limit 0.5 µg/cm²/week) |
| Lead and cadmium content | CPSC-CH-E1003-09.1, Prop 65 | Not detected |
Testing was performed in July 2026 on production samples in both finishes. Full reports are available on request.
Scope. Migration testing was carried out in a food-simulating solution under standardized conditions. "Not detected" means no quantity was found above the laboratory's reporting limit for that method; the reporting limits are stated in each report.
Nickel. 304 stainless steel contains nickel as an alloying element. It is held in the alloy structure and does not release under the conditions tested. Individuals with a diagnosed nickel allergy should nonetheless consider this before use.
